The first half of their concert pays tribute to the music created by the 1950s American Rock n’ Roll pioneers—which by 1960 had become a distant memory but became the inspiration for the next wave of young rock bands from Britain. The second half then pays tribute to the 1964 British Invasion bands that re-recorded the forgotten 1950s American rock music—along with lesser known early 1960s rhythm & blues songs. They pulled rock n’ roll from the edge of extinction by re-inventing and re-energizing it for a new generation. The Neverly Brothers’ repertoire includes spirited performances of classics like “Great Balls of Fire,” “Satisfaction,” “Love Potion #9,” and many more. It’s not “moldy oldies”—it’s “old-school cool!” Learn rock history and be thoroughly entertained with their chronological song sequence, stories behind the music and vintage wardrobe changes. $25 ADV/$28 door adults; $15 ADV/$18 door ages 18 and younger. 1215 E. General Casting School of Rock Adults and The Addams Family All Ages Auditions
Sunday, April 21 @ 6 PM
Monday, April 22 @ 7 PM
Grand Opera House Rehearsal Space

The Grand Opera House and Rising Star Theatre Company are hosting auditions for two upcoming performances at The Grand Opera House. Based on the hit movie of the same name, School of Rock follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a supply teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight–A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out? School of Rock, with its sensational live kids’ rock band, is a loving testimony to the transforming power of music. The Addams Family is a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, featuring an original story that is every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. School of Rock is open to youth and adult actors ages 10 and above. The Addams Family is open to adult actors, currently in high school and above, as well as one youth actor, currently in middle or high school.  Those performers interested in auditioning for both productions will only need to complete one audition. 880 Locust St, Suites 222 and 228. thegrandoperahouse.com/auditions.
