Dubuque was announced as one of 100 cities joining the program last month. The City has received $50,000 to distribute in the form of microgrants. If that funding is fully committed within six months, an additional $100,000 will be made available. Microgrants of between $1,000 and $5,000 are being made available for young adults in Dubuque. Projects may vary in scope, but must align with Dubuque’s 50% by 2030 Climate Action Plan. Details on how to secure one of the grants will also be discussed at the informational session on May 23.
